My first words in Chinese
Take away 带走 Dài zǒu
- The Chinese equivalent to Hello is 你好 (nǐ hǎo,) which literally translates as you good.
- You will notice that in the word 你好 (nǐ hǎo), the pinyin has 2 third tones, when this happens the first 3rd tone is pronounced as a 2nd tone. You can notice this in the audio.
- In Chinese there is no distinction between I and me. The same word 我 (Wǒ) is used.
- Bye, 再见 (Zài jiàn) Literally translates as ‘again see’.
